Eucalyptus Essential Oil is colorless with a distinct taste and odor.  The many health
benefits of Eucalyptus can be attributed to its anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic,
decongestant, deodorant, antiseptic, antibacterial, stimulating, and other medicinal
properties.  This has attracted the attention of many people ~ not only for use in
aromatherapy, but as a conventional medicine as well.   It is commonly found in over the
counter drugs including rubs, inhalers, liniments, rash creams and mouthwashes.

Obtained from fresh leaves of the tall evergreen eucalyptus tree (Eucalyptus Globulus), this
tree is also known as 'Fever Tree', 'Blue Gum Tree' and 'Stringy Bark Tree'.   The prime
source of Eucalyptus Oil is Australia, but it is also now grown in other parts of the world
including India, Europe, and South Africa.

Some of the many benefits of Eucalyptus Essential Oil (EO):

Respiratory:  Eucalyptus EO is effective for treating a number of respiratory problems
including cold, cough, runny nose, sore throat, asthma, nasal congestion, bronchitis and
sinusitis due to it's antibacterial, anti fungal, antimicrobial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory and
decongestant properties.  It is also useful in treating non-bacterial sinusitis.  Treat a sore
throat with gargles of Eucalyptus oil mixed with warm water.

Wounds:
Due to its germicidal properties, Eucalyptus EO may be used as an antiseptic.  Use for
healing wounds, ulcers, burns, cuts, abrasions and sores.  Also may be used for relief from
insect bites and stings.

Muscle Pain:   The analgesic and anti inflammatory properties help bring relief when
massaged on the skin surface of muscle and joint pain.  Often recommended to patients
suffering from rheumatism, lumbago, sprained ligaments and tendons, stiff muscles, aches,
fibrosis and nerve pain.  Massage in a circular motion on affected areas.

Mental Fatigue:  Eucalyptus oil has stimulating qualities to help cool and refresh, lifting
exhaustion, mental sluggishness, and stress.

Dental Care:  Fight cavities, dental plaque, gingivitis and other dental infections with the
germicidal properties of Eucalyptus oil.   Prime ingredient in many mouthwashes and
toothpastes.

Skin Care:  Apply topically to treat skin infections.

Diabetes:  Eucalyptus Oil, when taken internally, helps to control blood sugar.

Fever:  Reducing body temperature and fever.

Room Freshener:  Kills bacteria and germs in the air with its antiseptic and deodorant nature,
helps to keep the room environment clean.

Soaps:  Used in many soaps, detergents, and household cleaners.

Saunas:  Add eucalyptus EO to baths, spas and saunas wit its refreshing and antiseptic
effects.

Try blending with other Essential Oils such as thyme, rosemary, marjoram, lavender,
cedarwood, or frankincense.   In large quantities, Eucalyptus EO may be toxic and may also
interfere with homeopathic treatments.   The above statements have not been evaluated by
